Insomniac

June 7, 2008 at 2:55 pm (ACADEMICS, College)

Finally, after a week, 6 back-to-back exams and a whole lot of head-ache and tension later, i’m back to the cyber-cafe. The exams were okay. I could’ve fared a good deal better had i not extended my home trip last month by say 10 days! Suicidal! Thank god(…?…), these were just prelimnary theory exams…

Physio paper2 was horrendous, and ironically the easiest. Since i knew almost all of it perfectly, i mis-managed time and ended up writing for my life in the last 15 minutes. And when has last 15 minutes saved a flunking man?

Rest were all the same. Average exams, with average questions. I’m categorically not proud of my exam-taking skill this time. I have to learn to be more professional and thorough.

Really, studying in double figures daily for the last 10 days was not a problem, neither is the surprising lack of sleep i’ve accumulated. It’s the back-to-back exams which really suck: They suck the life out of you. The library studying hall repels me now, after sheltetring me for major portion of the last fortnight. I feel full. I feel insomniac because whenever i lie down to sleep, i start thinking about the physiology of sleep.

I consciously attempted to unwind myself today by taking (i think) a well deserved break. I saw Sarkar Raj. An above average flick. Amitabh rocks.

The prelimnary practicals start in two days.
