Tashan
3/5
Tashan means style, and that’s what this movie glorifies. Very very stylish – not western, but rusty, raw Indian style. The movie doesn’t connect to you or involves you, but you don’t want to leave it either. It’s not god as a whole movie, owing to it’s lacklustre script, but it’s a great scene-by-scene spectacle. Kareena is jaw-dropping and Akshay steals the show in every scene. The music, the star-presence, costumes and locales add to make up some spectacular frames. Give it a dekko, but no more.
I am what i am…
Hate me or love me, i’ll always be me. I recently discovered, and to my delight, that being just myself is far better and satisfying than pretending to be something else for someone else.
Puleez … its my request to everybody reading this … admit frankly what you dislike, and what you like. Your sleep, your taste, your clothes, your deodorant, your money, your hobbies, your life is essentially yours; people come and go, you’ll stay with yourself forever. Be true, and responsible. I’m not writing this in a mood of ecstasy or distraught. I’m calm and composed, to say the least, and that has been asserted by a couple of people recently – so i’m happy too!
The past few days were – 7/10. I’m back to a routine. A couple of slightly disturbing things tried to lurk in the backgound of my mind lately, but i efiiciently shot them down with my ’speck of dust’ theory.
Prelims from 2nd june. Any plans of going home before that just got weak.
Saw Hum Aapke Hain Koun…! again recently. WOW as ever. Ye mausam ka jaadu hai mitwaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
IPL, i fear, ain’t upto the mark. SRK should stop showing his simian antics.
Waiting with abated breath for Tashan. May be i’ll catch it on Monday, after the huge Physio exam.
